Cowboy Beans
Lasso your guests with this tasty side. Their sweet swagger and rugged kick are something everyone can tip their hats to.
- 12 ounces bacon, chopped
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 15 to 16-ounce cans spicy chili beans, drained
- 1 15 to 16-ounce can navy beans, drained
- 1 14-ounce can Ocean Spray® Jellied Cranberry Sauce
- 1 12-ounce bottle Heinz® Chili Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Heinz® Distilled White Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon ground mustard
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Cook bacon in large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until browned and crisp. Transfer bacon to paper towels to drain. Drain skillet.
Add beef and onion to skillet. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes or until beef is browned and cooked through.
Stir together beef mixture, bacon, chili beans, navy beans, cranberry sauce, chili sauce, vinegar, mustard, garlic powder and salt in 4 to 5-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 2 to 4 hours or until heated through.
